In my family, we are always keen to suggestions coming from someone we know or a friend that has a familiar taste or lifestyle to us.

I have held this project in mind for many years and today, with the approval of the whole family, we start!

At a time when we are constantly bombarded of information it’s becoming overly hard to know what to do, what to visit, where to go for dinner or where to spend the night…

Clearly if we grab a guide of wealthy and exclusive places we’ll reduce the chance to end up in a place that isn’t welcoming or in good conditions but at the same time, probably, we would miss authentic atmospheres that are just as warm and welcoming and original.

Here is why, with a dash of pride, has born Barthel Consiglia!     

A guide made by a family that had the chance to travel often and to get to know places, people, cultures and curiosities, mostly simple and authentic things that we are happy to share with our readers.

Each one of us will bring its own experiences and preferences. Every quote clearly refers to something that has really happened. There might be places suggested by more than one of us, that anyhow will be described differently and according to each individual taste and that will enrich our suggestions!
