Ristorante Castellucci

We are in Montevarchi, in Valdarno, an area that I’m not used to visit very often and although it can offer beautiful surprises.

Such us the restaurant Castellucci, well recommended by my good friend Alberto who years ago took my dad there. Today I finally had the chance to try.

Originally the restaurant was in the town centre, in a probably nicer and more traditional place. Now it is just outside where it can be easily accessed especially at lunch time.

The owners are a family from Rome who already owned a restaurant in the capital and moved to Tuscany years ago.

The menu they suggest it’s a blend between the two culinary traditions. I tried dishes from the traditional cucina romana such as le puntarelle, I Carciofi alla giudiaca and a delicious scaloppina con porcini.
