5 e Cinque

Florence, Piazza della Passera, a place that in the last decade has become well known and popular for the many eateries and bars that are frequently popping up. One of these is 5 e Cinque, a small restaurant with a sober and warm atmosphere that offers vegetarian dishes and some typical Genoa dishes such as la Cecina (made with chickpeas flour, oil and water) and la focaccia di Recco (similar to pizza doughs covered with lots of tasty cheese).  

The owner, that my dad has known for years from work, was an antiquario (antique dealer) this explains the interiors choices, that although simple are still unique and of good taste.

I define it more like a trattoria (less formal environment) than a restaurant. Perfect for a quick lunch or a dinner, better not to go in big groups to really appreciate it also because of the small tables, perfect in two or four!

The lunch menu say DESINARE, and this, clearly, I can only appreciate!
